GA is a leader in the design, fabrication, testing, licensing, and operation of nuclear material transportation and storage systems. It is developing new casks for the safe shipment of spent fuel and high-level waste. The GA-4 and GA-9 light water reactor spent fuel casks represent a new generation of high-capacity, legal-weight truck casks, with four times the capacity of previous casks.

A recent detailed study of the GDS data by Paul (1994) has revealed a conductivity anomaly in the middle and lower crust, which in the Adelaide Geosyncline proper follows the main arcuate trend of the Houghton Anticline. The anomaly is referred to as the Flinders Conductivity Anomaly (FCA).
